Manager coaching brief: where a rep struggles, where they are not yet strong and which skills are improving. All names are fictional.

The problem

You know what good looks like. Making it happen in every call is the hard part.

  • Managers cannot review enough calls.
  • Scorecards are hard to maintain when the playbook changes.
  • Coaching quality depends on the manager.
  • New hires depend on top performers and tribal knowledge.
  • Reps repeat the same gaps for weeks before anyone sees the pattern.
  • Deal reviews spend time collecting context instead of deciding what to do.

The impact

What changes with Taskbase

  1. 01

Consistent execution of the sales playbook

Taskbase checks real customer-facing behaviour against your standards and links every gap to evidence.

  2. 02

    Coaching coverage for every rep

Each rep gets focused feedback after real calls. Managers see team patterns and where human coaching adds the most.

  3. 03

    Faster onboarding and ramp

New hires learn through role-based guidance, real work, practice and feedback instead of waiting for manager time.

  4. 04

Better deal quality and forecast evidence

Qualification, stage evidence, risks, commitments and next actions stay current.

  5. 05

More manager time for decisions and people

Taskbase prepares one-to-ones, deal reviews, coaching moments and team priorities.

Forecasting

Your forecast call, prepared before it starts

Managers enter their own numbers once a month and update them as deals move. Taskbase rolls them up for you, and Taskbase flags the commits the evidence does not support, so the forecast call is about decisions.

Leader forecast inputs and Taskbase’s challenge. All names and numbers are fictional.

Living Revenue Playbook

One approved playbook behind every answer

Taskbase does not invent a different answer for every person. It works from the approved Revenue Playbook, live customer context and the person’s role. New evidence from real calls becomes a suggestion, and the accountable leader approves it before it becomes the standard.

  1. 1

    Evidence

A new objection, competitor or question shows up in real conversations.

  2. 2

    Suggestion

Taskbase proposes a playbook change and shows the evidence.

  3. 3

    Approval

The accountable leader reviews and approves it.

  4. 4

    Updated work

Coaching, answers and automated work follow the new standard.

When your method, pitch or qualification criteria change, scorecards, coaching and onboarding change with them. You approve the update once.

Objection Handling

Last updated 08/10/2026 by Anna Weber

This page is for real objections raised in discovery, demos and negotiations. Short cold-call deflections stay on the Cold Calling page.

7.1 How to handle a real objection
  • Acknowledge: Show that the concern is reasonable without conceding the deal.
  • Clarify: Ask what sits behind the objection and who else shares it.
  • Respond: Use the buyer’s situation and agreed outcomes, not generic claims.
  • Advance: Agree a concrete next step, owner and date.

  1. 1

    Start from what you have

Upload or connect Confluence, Notion, PDFs, PowerPoint decks, Word documents, and business cases and pricing in Excel. Taskbase sorts everything into the right sections of the playbook and writes it so that AI can read it well.

  2. 2

Start from what we already know

When you sign in, Taskbase reads your website: ideal customer, product features, differentiation and the objections answered in your FAQ. The playbook starts pre-filled, not empty.

  3. 3

    Add methods with Taskbase

Ask for a MEDDICC, SPICED, SPIN or Gap Selling playbook. Taskbase builds it from Taskbase’s library of sales resources and your own information. Templates give you the structure.

  4. 4

    Keep it current from conversations

Taskbase updates the playbook from your real conversations, and you approve the changes. The playbook is ongoing work, not a project you finish before launch.

Reps never have to read the playbook. They ask Taskbase: how to handle an objection, what a product feature does, how to use MEDDICC in this deal. Because the playbook is written for AI, the answers are accurate and easy to read.

Where Taskbase fits

Not another recorder. Not another chatbot.

Not another call recorder

Recording tools tell you what happened. Taskbase helps the person do the next thing better, completes the work around it, and checks whether the new behaviour sticks. Keep the recorder you already use.

Not another generic chatbot

Generic AI can create an answer. Taskbase adds your approved context, customer evidence, individual skill memory, connected workflows, governance and follow-through.
