How SignalFisher Cut Sales Onboarding Time by 50% With Taskbase

SignalFisher needed to onboard several new Account Executives quickly, but had no formal sales playbook in place. With Taskbase, the team created its first sales playbook in just a few hours and turned it into an AI-powered onboarding and coaching experience. New reps were proactively trained on the playbook and received continuous feedback on their real sales calls. The result: onboarding time dropped by 50%, from eight weeks to four.

SignalFisher is a Swiss cybersecurity company specializing in intelligent security testing and ethical hacking. Founded in Switzerland in 2020, the company provides continuously learning security-testing programs designed to help enterprises understand and manage their cyber risk. Its customers include organizations across financial services, insurance, critical infrastructure, government and other regulated industries.

Situation

SignalFisher was expanding its sales organization, with several new Account Executives scheduled to join at the same time.

There was one major constraint: the company did not yet have a formal sales playbook.

Rather than spending weeks or months documenting the sales process before introducing a coaching system, SignalFisher wanted to build the playbook and operationalize it at the same time. With three to four new salespeople about to start, the team had a clear deadline for getting the new approach live.

Challenge

Without a structured playbook, onboarding depended heavily on knowledge transfer from experienced team members and sales leadership.

New Account Executives needed to learn SignalFisher's product, sales process, messaging and approach to customer conversations quickly. At the same time, Stefan and the sales leadership team needed a way to make sure that what new hires learned during onboarding actually translated into their real customer conversations.

Traditional onboarding would have created two separate projects: first documenting the sales methodology and building a playbook, then creating training around it and coaching reps on its application.

SignalFisher wanted to compress those steps into a single process.

Solution

SignalFisher implemented Taskbase as its AI Sales Coach, starting with the creation of its sales playbook.

Instead of manually writing and formatting a comprehensive playbook over several weeks, the team used Taskbase to create the initial playbook in approximately 2 - 3 hours. This became the foundation for both onboarding and ongoing sales coaching.

The team then introduced a dedicated Onboarding Coach, a specialized Taskbase agent designed to turn the sales playbook into an active learning experience rather than a document reps simply read once.

The Onboarding Coach guides new hires through relevant content, breaks the playbook into digestible learning steps, provides practical exercises and proactively follows up with reps to reinforce their understanding.

Within two weeks of signing with Taskbase, the system was live for the arrival of SignalFisher's new Account Executives.

Once reps moved into real customer conversations, Taskbase's ongoing Sales Coach extended that learning into their daily work. It analyzed sales calls against the playbook, provided individual feedback and helped AEs prepare for upcoming conversations and deals.

For Stefan, Taskbase also became a preparation layer for deal reviews and coaching. Instead of manually reviewing every interaction to determine where coaching was needed, he could use the AI-generated context to focus his time on the areas where his involvement had the greatest value.

Outcome

The most immediate impact was on onboarding.

Ramp-up time decreased from approximately eight weeks to four weeks, cutting the time required for new Account Executives to become productive by 50%.

The impact went beyond faster onboarding. According to Stefan, new AEs adhered more closely to the defined sales process, while every AE received immediate feedback on their sales calls. Continuous, individualized learning meant coaching was no longer limited by the amount of time a sales manager could dedicate to reviewing calls.

For sales leadership, Taskbase also made deal reviews and individual coaching more efficient. Stefan could prepare feedback faster, provide coaching more frequently and spend less time manually reviewing sales conversations.

SignalFisher therefore moved from having no formal sales playbook to an operational AI-enabled sales coaching system in two weeks, while simultaneously onboarding a new group of salespeople.

“For new AEs it is the best way to get familiar with your product and your sales process. The onboarding agents help reduce onboarding time from 8 to 4 weeks.”

Stefan Velikov, Head of Sales, SignalFisher

The implementation demonstrated that a company does not need to complete a months-long sales enablement project before introducing AI coaching. SignalFisher built the playbook, turned it into an active onboarding experience and connected it directly to real sales conversations, creating a system that supports reps from their first days through ongoing deal execution.

Implementation note: SignalFisher's initial implementation took two weeks in May 2026. Taskbase's current onboarding process has since been reduced to approximately one day, including for companies that do not yet have an existing sales playbook.
